Nikki's Story...
Think Scrappy-Doo in cat form... and you have Nikki! But it hasn’t always been fun and games for this boy.Let’s just say even at under 6 months old, he has already had a brush with death. When Nikki and his sister Trixi came to Soul Saver from Columbus Animal Control, they had such severe upper respiratory that they couldn’t have survived without serious medical attention. But after numerous treatments and a lot of TLC, Nikki still has that “let me at ‘em” attitude.

Nikki is your typical young boy, full of spunk and curiousity. For him, life is all about the adventure! Don’t let him fool you though, he is still quite the love bug (just promise not to tell his friends). Nikki gets along great with dogs and other cats and also wouldn’t mind a home with children. So if you’re looking for a kitty that is full of love and life, then Nikki just might be the guy you’re looking for!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikki, a Columbus Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
