Shadow's Info...

I am already neutered and up to date with shots.

Shadow's Story...
Shadow was very frightened when first found walking in the middle of a state highway with his coat matted with burrs. Somehow shadow got separated from his family and misses them very much. However he quickly learns to trust and wants to be your friend. He gets along well with his kennel mates, but prefers the company of people. He just wants to be loved.

Shadow weighs about 34 lbs. He appears to be older than he his. Our guess is that he is about 4-5 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Hillsboro Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
