Why I'd make a great companion:If I could do just one thing all day I would love to sleep in your lap - I am a devoted lap cat and I take my job seriously! I would love to go to a home where I can snuggle up to my people as often as I want. You won't find a sweeter more affectionate cat than me! While I don't always like to be petted and held I have a big heart and can't wait to share all of my love with a special family of my own.
Type of home I'm looking for: I will do best in a home with older respectful children ages 12 and up.

Serving San Diego County since 1880, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA provides vital services to animals and people alike through sheltering and adopting animals, providing positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable animals and for owned animals through public training classes, investigating animal cruelty and neglect, providing adult and youth education programs, sharing animals through Pet-Assisted Therapy and rescuing animals in emergency situations.
A private nonprofit organization that receives no government grant funding, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from its retail outlets and some fees for service.

All adoption fees collected assist in the daily care and on-going needs of each animal admitted to the SDHS. Adoption gift certificates are also available for purchase.
~Adoption Superstars - $25.00 regardless age for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens
~Senior Dogs and Cats (over seven years old) - $25.00
~Dogs seven months to seven years – $75.00
~Cats seven months to seven years – $50.00
~Puppies six months and younger - $175.00
~Kittens six months and younger - $100.00
~Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Chinchillas, Large birds, & Reptiles - $25.00
~Small birds (canaries, parakeets, finches), rodents (mice, rats, hamsters) - $5.00
~Livestock – fees vary based on species
~Senior Adoption Program – Adoption Fee is waived (Adopter must be 55 years or older to utilize this program)
~Buddy Pricing: The Adoption fee is waived for the second “buddy” animal. (Adoption of a buddy must occur at same time or within one year of the first adoption)
~Military Pricing: For active members of the military, there is a 25% discount with proof of active duty.
The SDHS reserves the right to hold special animal adoption promotions wherein prices may be reduced or waived altogether. These promotional campaigns will be advertised to the general public and honored during the promotional dates only. Following special adoption campaigns, adoption pricing will revert to original pricing until further notice.
