Jewel's Story...
Hello! My name is Jewel. I am adorable! Well, that is what I hear from my foster family all the time. They also say I'm very sweet, that makes me feel so happy. I love children. I am a very gentle puppy. I love other dogs. Playtime is super-fun! I have a little basket of toys at my foster home and I love carrying them around and playing with them. I'm doing very well going potty outside. My foster mom says that I'm a very smart girl. It's fun being a rescued puppy. And I would LOVE to have a family of my own that I can play with, snuggle and love forever!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jewel, a Louisville Basset Hound/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
