Hello, my name is HENRY (4yrs & 27lbs). I am a cute little guy here at the adoption center that is really hoping for some new people in my life. I am a good boy but I need someone who can be patient with me. I got to run around and play in the office with everybody which I did really good until I found a leftover bowl of food that I wanted to keep all for myself, it smelled yummy. So I thought I would stand there and guard it and chase everybody away from it that tried to come near. I did stop doing that every time some person would tell me I had to though. Then I would start to play with the people but I could get a little too woulnd up and over stimulated and could get a little rough and that would scare me so I would have to go and hide. So all I need is that little bit of patience to learn how to properly have playtime. I have some scars on my belly that are kinda confusing to the gang here, but I must still be a little too shy to tell the girls my story. So maybe you could come on down to meet me and see what our relationship could be like, I'm a cutie and would love to be your buddy forever and ever!

The Columbiana County Dog Pound is a small, rural shelter in eastern Ohio. At one time, only a small percentage of the dogs entering the Pound made it out alive. Now, thanks to the vision of the County Commissioners, the Pound staff, and a dedicated group of volunteers, the Pound has become a source of hope. It is a place where lives are saved, not lost.
Columbiana was one of the first counties in the state to require that all dogs be spayed/neutered before leaving the Pound. This policy addresses the pet overpopulation problem at its source.

Hours:
Monday - Wednesday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Thursday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Friday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Saturday: 9am to 12pm
Sunday: Closed.
If these times are inconvenient for you, call the staff and arrange a time to meet the dogs...

The adoption fee is $100, which includes a DHLPP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, de-worming, an Ohio dog license, and spay/neuter surgery. Additional low-cost vet care is available upon request.
Approved rescue groups can pull dogs at reduced fees.
