Lacey's Story...
Hi, I am Lacey. I’m a 1 yr old female Aussie/Retriever cross. And yes, I know I’m gorgeous -everyone tells me so. I’ll be even prettier when my beautiful blonde feathers have a chance to grow out. I don’t even talk about this haircut! I actually have a very easy coat to care for - just a brushing every once in a while. I’m an easy going girl and my foster mother tells everyone that I’m extremely well behaved except for one itsy bitsy failing - I have to admit that I just do not like to play with the other pets. I want to be the only pet in the home, with a person that will give me their time. I love people. I even like kids who are big enough for me to play with. I’m really nice on a leash so I hope my new people will take me on walks. My foster mom really likes me because she says I’m so easy to please, and I let her do anything she wants without me getting mad. I will be the most loyal of companions to someone who doesn’t mind giving all their love to just me.

About Our Rescue Group...
Four Peaks Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, training and placement of animals in need of care in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Four Peaks Animal Rescue is predominately driven by the commitment of volunteers to minimize, if not eliminate the suffering of animals who, by virtue of their domestication and subsequent abandonment, are completely dependent upon others for their care and sustenance. We are a no-kill rescue organization seeking to accommodate all species of domestic pets.

Come Meet Our Pets...
Four Peaks Animal Rescue currently has a limited housing facility. Most of the animals are cared for in foster homes. Our animals may be seen at adoption events (see our calendar of events posted at www.FourPeaksAnimalRescue.org) or ask for an appointment, just call 480-471-3520.
Our Adoption Process...
Four Peaks Animal Rescue asks potential adopters to fill out an application. The adoption process for dogs includes a home visit prior to placement. We ask our adopters to sign an adoption contract and pay an adoption fee at the time of adoption.

All Dogs offered for adoption by 4 Peaks are vaccinated, neutered or spayed, microchipped, and given any medical care needed. Adoption fees start at $200.

All Cats offered for adoption by 4 Peaks are vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, spayed or neutered, and given any medial care needed. The adoption fee for one cat starts at $75, two cats at $130.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacey, a Scottsdale Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
