Ceasar is an apartment sized jet black dog with a smooth shiny coat, floppy ears and a sweet puppy face. The amazing Ceasar already knows many commands like sit, down, paw and lay. Are you wondering how the great Ceasar ended up here in a shelter? Well its kind of a sad story but here you go: One day Ceasar was living the good life in a home with his dog sidekick Bear. They ate dog food and went for walks, but sadly the tide turned when their owner lost his
job. Food got a little scarce and there wasn’t much to eat around the house. Eventually the great Ceasar and his sidekick Bear were told they would be better off at the shelter looking for new homes.
Ceasar is not too sure about this new place. He was nervous at first about being handled by strangers, but eventually he rolled on his back and took some pets. He had no food issues and didn’t show much interest in toys yet. He met some other dogs and was a little pushy
with them. We know Ceasar lived with another dog before though, so he could likely do so again with slow introductions. Ceasar is an adult dog with a lot of love left to give. Please come meet Ceasar today

The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. ACCT Philly is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit organization, contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide animal control services. Our animal control officers provide service over 142.6 square miles to the city’s more than 1.5 million residents and ACCT Philly’s facility in North Philadelphia handles more than 32,000 of the city’s animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually.
In addition to animal control and sheltering, ACCT Philly is open 365 days a year for pet adoptions. ACCT Philly also supports a foster care program where community members provide temporary homes for sheltered animals and one of the (if not THE) most extensive rescue partnership program in the country where approved rescue partners accept ACCT Philly animals into their adoption programs. Under contract ACCT Philly’s Animal Control Officers provide animal control services and code enforcement. Other exciting ACCT Philly programs include a food pantry for low-income pet owners, a vibrant volunteer program, trap-neuter-return for community cats, a unique Pen Pal program to assist dogs at risk … and so much more!
