Cleo's Story...
Hi my name is Cleo and my foster mommy found me very sick and extremely under weight. I showed up in her back yard because I knew she would help me feel better. When my foster mom found me I had skin infections, ear infections, I hadn’t eaten for days. Three months later I am as healthy as I can be expect I can’t hear, my vet said my hearing may never come back but it’s OK! They tell me I am between seven and eight years old and Calico with a short tail. I am every sweet and do well with my foster mommy’s cat and kids. I am quite and love to to be pet and am not much for jumping on furniture but will happily sit in your lap or near if you pick me up. Sometimes I can be really silly when you least expect it. I will run around and chase my little tail. It’s fun! My foster mommy says I am a floor kitty because I seem to like it there better. My foster mom thinks I’m either a rumpy tailed manx or japanese bobtailI, but she is not sure which. Also I don’t seem to shed a lot, my foster mom is surprised when she holds me there is no fur left behind.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask Tina all about me.

Our Adoption Process...
Prior to adoption, every CARE cat/kitten has received a thorough exam from a veterinarian, has tested negative for FIV/Felv (except as otherwise noted), been spayed/neutered, dewormed, given flea preventative, and been inoculated against distemper. Rabies vaccine is given if the feline is over 4 months. Any other desirable medical attention has also been provided. Also, each cat/kitten has spent its rescued time in a private home in foster care being loved and assessed for temperament and personality, needs, likes and dislikes.

After your approval by our volunteers, a legal contract is signed with an adoption donation attached (this donation helps defray the medical costs incurred); and, you receive a free vet office visit at a participating vet within the first week.
Adoption Fee is a Donation.
