Zipper & Bows's Story...
Zipper (male medium hair, black & white) and his sister Bows (black shorthair) are very bonded and the perfect pair of youngsters. Bows loves to be held and follows you everywhere; Zipper is a silly, playful guy who's a bit shyer than his social butterfly sister. They were abandoned at a vet office's front door at bottle babies, and now we're big kids ready for a great home where we can be cuddled and played with! You'll just need to give Zip and little extra time for him to fall in love with you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zipper & Bows, a Petersburg American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Petersburg, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
