We are a foster home network rescue located in North County of San Diego. Our mission is to save small dogs or kittens that are in immediate danger of being euthanized from high kill shelters. To save more lives, we need foster homes. We provide supplies and all veterinary care (our vets is in North County). You provide love, care, guidance, and an indoor home to care for the pet.

We are seeking Long Term Fosters (pets can take anywhere from 3 weeks to a few months to find homes) who can provide a temporary home until we find permanent adopters. If you cannot take on the financial responsibilities of a pet at this time or want to simply help an animal in need and assist us in saving a shelter pet from euthanasia, fostering is a very giving and compassionate way to help animals that don't otherwise have a chance. Animals are dying by the dozens in the shelters every week - we need you to help us save them!

Please contact us for a foster application if you are able and willing to help us save lives.

About Saving Shelter Pets of CA

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization. We network and rescue animals in danger of euthanasia from Southern California shelters. Pets are rescued from these shelters and housed in a foster home until a permanent home is found.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets are available to meet either at the foster home or your home. Contact us for details.

Our Adoption Process...

Upon initial inquiry on one of our pets, we begin the process by having all potential adopters complete an adoption application. If approved, we then set up a face to face meeting with the pet you are interested in. A home/yard check is required prior to adoption. Once adoption is finalized, an adoption fee is collected, an adoption contract is agreed to and signed by both parties, and the animal is turned over to it's new adoptive owner/family. Follow ups take place during the first month to insure the pet and the household is adjusting to the pet, and any issues, questions or concerns are addressed.
