Paloma's Story...
Paloma was originally rescued from a scheduled death via gas along with his litter mates and mother in 2006 when he was just a kitten. He was adopted. Unfortunately, his adopting owners violated our adoption contract with them and declawed this sweet boy. He was just found in October this year as a stray cat with serious bite injuries and very malnourished. We do not know if his owners abandoned him (all of our adoption contracts require our cats be returned to us if their adopting owners do not keep them) or if he got away from them. He was brought into the county shelter by a good samaritan where they returned him to us because the microchip we had implanted identified him as our cat and thus saved his life. His wounds have healed well now. His complete blood work and vet exam shows him to still be a healthy cat. Paloma has had a troubling story the first 6 years of his life. We know there is a responsible and loving person out there who can make the rest of his life happier! Paloma is wonderful with other cats and with dogs and is a very loving, trusting and affectionate cat.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-foster home, no-kill, cageless, no time limit feline sanctuary. We rescue high-risk cats the shelters and veterinarians will not otherwise offer for adoption. We focus on "special needs" and mature animals, although not ALL of our adoptable cats are mature or have a special need. We take these pets into our homes, socialize them with our own families and provide for all their needs until they are adopted. We stand behind our adopted pets for their entire lives. Some of our sanctuary pets are socialized, vetted and trained to provide pet therapy services to area rehabilitation and assisted living facilities.

Come Meet Our Pets...
You can meet our pets in purr-son by calling the foster parent and arranging an appointment at their foster home. We also hold adoptathons on occasion at the Azalea Square PetsMart, Summerville, SC or at Petco in Walterboro, SC on Bells Highway.
