Lucy's Story...
Lucy has some ‘splainin to do! Much like the famous Lucille Ball, our Lucy is just as much of a ham. She will talk your ear off if you let her and she is always cracking jokes. Not only is she funny, but she also has the confidence to boot following you everywhere just like a dog. Like all celebrities, Lucy loves attention, even from dogs. And if you aren’t giving her enough attention, she will give you a give you a polite pat to remind you that she is the center of your world.

Lucy can’t just go into any home, not just because she is named after TV royalty, but also because she is both FIV and FeLV positive. All this means is that she needs a home with no other cats and will need to live indoors. So if anyone deserves a life of luxury, it is certainly Miss Lucy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Columbus Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
