Introducing Miss Minni! This playful girl of 4 - 6 years old has had an incredible journey in her short life. Minni was rescued by the Gooding Dogs Group from less than desirable circumstances and turned over to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue to be put into foster care.

When Minni came to Fuzzy Pawz she could barely see or stand from her injuries, she had been infested with fleas and had bites all over her entire body; she had been both abused and neglected. She would drag her back legs instead of walk because it was just too hard for her to stand and keep her balance - due to her injuries her coordination was off and we were not sure if it ever would be right again. To get around she would lie on the floor and pull herself across the room on her tummy with her back legs dragging behind her. She got around pretty good this way, but we wanted her to have a better quality of life so her amazing foster family worked with her daily on strengthening her legs and she improved daily, eventually she was walking all the time instead of dragging her back half and then even running! Minni will need someone that will continue to work with her to keep her legs strong.

Minni also has some allergies, a chronic upper respiratory infection that comes and goes and she does have seizures now and again due to low blood sugar. She was missing most of her hair due to a mass infestation of fleas, but now her coat is growing back and she is adorable. Minni is partially blind due to her previously sustained injuries; although she has recovered some of her sight she will remain partially blind for the rest of her life. She responds well to finger snaps and taps and will come running when she hears them as it usually means she gets to be held,

Today Minni is a happy little girl that loves everyone, loves to snuggle and now that she has learned to play that is one of her favorite things to do. Minni will chase a ball, play tug-o-war and just pick up a toy and play with it provided it is small enough (at 3 lbs she needs small toys). Minni’s favorite thing ever? To be held and lavished with attention!

Minni also likes to ride in a doggy purse and this is a very good way to keep her safe when traveling so she is not dropped, bumped or stepped on (remember she is only 3 lbs). With her size she will need a home where there are no small children or larger animals that could accidently hurt her. A smaller mellow dog would be fine as she currently lives with 2 small and gentle other dogs that she plays with. Minni would also be a good single dog as long as her human was able to be with her most of the time.

Minni is crate trained and that is where she sleeps to keep her safe at night. Minni is afraid of the dark so will need a night light, she does still have nightmares on occasion and will wake up crying very loudly and distressed and so will need to be reassured, once reassured she will settle back down and go to sleep.

Minni will need to be fed every 3 hours to keep her blood sugar levels even; this will help prevent her having seizures.

Minni will need a home where she will be able to get the medical care and special attention that she needs to keep living a happy life. Minni will always be special needs girl; if you do not have the time and money to devote to her please do not apply.

She has recently been spayed, vaccinated, treated for allergies and for her upper respiratory infection.

If you are interested in giving Minni a loving, caring forever home please complete an adoption application at http://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm

There is a $100 adoption fee for Minni.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minni, a Boise Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian for sale in Boise, or seeking a Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian breeders who help with Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
