Minerva's Story...
Minerva and her sisters Aurora & Hestia were rescued with their mom Evelyn from Edmond Animal Welfare. Minerva is a beautiful orange tabby with dark markings. Full of fun, she loves her sisters and playing with the other cats in the house, as well as some interactions with the dogs. She enjoys being a lap cat for a short time but is usually off to play again. She needs a play mate and likes to eat out of her own bowl, as she is not keen on sharing food, although not aggressive.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

We encourage you to consider adopting kittens in pairs. Kittens find it especially comforting and having a built-in playmate often helps them integrate into their new family more easily. Reduced adoption fees may also apply.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minerva, a Edmond Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Edmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Edmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
