Rosie the American Bulldog's Story...
Rosie is a young (under two years) female Boxer – American Bull Dog mix that was rescued off the street in a south L.A. neighborhood. She was wandering with no collar or ID tag, was absolutely filthy, and had obviously already had several litters of puppies. She was so dirty it took four washes to get the water to run clear. It looked as though she had been sleeping under cars. Rosie loves people and is a big talker. She talks and talks whenever you get home because she is so excited to see you. She is now spayed, vaccinated, and healthy. Currently, she is in a foster home with another dog and they love to play. This is a courtesy posting which means that you would need to contact the person who rescued Rosie directly via email at sgamache@laphil.org. Or, you can call us at Downtown Dog Rescue for inquiries: 818-407-4145.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie the American Bulldog, a Los Angeles American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
