Boots's Story...
Boots is a handsome boy with tons of personality! He’s a playful little guy, but also enjoys some serious snuggle time! He and his siblings were rescued from a local kill shelter just before their time ran out. He is great with kids, other cats, and could learn to love a dog. Boots has been examined by a veterinarian, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, received his age appropriate vaccines, and has been neutered. If you are interested in finding out more about Boots or any of our other kittens, please contact St. Francis Humane Association at (804) 598-6636 or webmaster@stfrancisha.org. St Francis Humane Association has pet adoptions every weekend at the Petco in Westchester Commons at 288 and Midlothian Turnpike. Check our website for the next adoption day!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boots, a Richmond Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
