Katey's Story...
Katey is a 1.5 year old yellow female who was an owner release. Her mommy gave her up because she loved her very much. Kateys mom has some medical problems which made it impossible for her to walk Katey anymore and she realized how unfair this was to Katey. Katey knows her basic obedience commands, gets along well with other dogs, is house and crate trained, and a very sweet dog. Katey loves people, adults and kids and would do well in a home where she has someone with 2 or 4 legs to play with! Our adoption fee is $275.00 per dog, and $300.00 for puppies under 5 months of age. If you adopt 2 dogs through our organization, we deduct $50.00 off the 2nd adoption. All puppies & dogs are current on shots, (including 1 year rabies on puppies older then 12 weeks) wormed, heart worm negative & on preventative treatment for heart worms & fleas, spayed or neutered (over 8 weeks), micro chipped, routine examination by a licensed vet, and treated for any ailments found. All of the dogs adopted through Greater Dayton Lab Rescue are living in foster care in our homes. We can tell you how the animal interacts with other dogs, cats & children & if this pet would be best for your household. We at Greater Dayton Lab rescue want to supply you with the highest quality rescue pet available. A good temperament is most important to us. Make your next pet, a rescue pet. Their lives depend on it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katey, a Brookville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Brookville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Brookville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookville paves the way for another one to be saved.
