Baloo is a dog that truly lives up to his name! This 3 year old gorgeous Chocolate Lab mix is a big, goofy, loving bear of a dog that looks like he should be dancing through Jungle Book with his dear friend Mowgli. But happy go lucky as Baloo may look, his story is one of tragedy. Baloo was adored by a man who was truly his best friend.
They slept in the same bed together, spent day and night together, and were inseparable. That is, until Baloo’s best friend was diagnosed with cancer and when his health quickly began to deteriorate, he was forced to move into a medical care facility and Baloo found himself in a shelter; and hasn’t stopped looking for his best friend ever since.
This once fun loving, “man’s best friend” desperately needs a loving home where he can heal from the loss of the only family he knew and live the life he deserves. Baloo does weigh over 100 pounds and so he needs a family that is used to large breed dogs and will understand that although Baloo is full of love, he is also strong and needs to be exercised regularly in order to once again, be the big happy bear we know he can be! If you are looking for a large, fun loving, beautiful dog and can provide the stability, exercise, and reassurance that Baloo so deserves, he will pay you back tenfold with the same love and loyalty he gave his dear best friend!
