Java's Story...
Hello! I'm Java. I'm a very sweet black and white tuxedo girl kitty. I ended up at the San Jose shelter when my family lost their home. I was originally adopted from Town Cats when I was much younger - and here I am back again, sad to say. But that's okay - I'll find my new forever home now, right?

More about me - I'm somewhat shy and worried, here in the shelter. Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm delighted to get attention from people! I love people! But all the hustle and bustle of the shelter is a bit much for me. Therefore they are keeping me in a cage to make certain they don't lose track of me and to make certain I eat. And even so, I hide under my bed a lot of the time. But if somebody comes to the cage and calls my name, I come right out for petting, and snuggles! (You can see from the pictures somebody so sneakily took of me - did they get my best side?) I've lived in a house with other cats and with dogs before, and with people of all ages. Still, I might be happier in a quieter home, since I'm definitely intimidated here. The people at the shelter say they just want all of us to be happy....

I'm such a sweet nice girl, and a perfect age - a young adult, only around 4 years old as of fall 2012 or so. Settled down enough not to cause trouble, but sweet and still playful. Lots of years left! Why don't you come meet me and take me out of this chaotic place? I'd love to go home with you....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Java, a Morgan Hill Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Morgan Hill, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Morgan Hill.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morgan Hill already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morgan Hill breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morgan Hill paves the way for another one to be saved.
