Other Pets at Shelter...
|Breed:||Siamese||Color:||Tan Or Fawn (Mostly)||Age:||Senior|
This is Sig. Sig is a handsome Siamese mix blue-eyed medium-haired older boy. He is very tolerant of all other cats, and just loves human attention. He's a typical sweet older cat, who just loves attention but is also quite fine with sleeping and relaxing.
Sig has a very sad story. He was found lying in the street. The person who found him at first thought he was dead, but when over to pick him up and realized that he was in fact alive, but very very skinny and in very bad shape. It appeared that perhaps he had been abandoned, and being unable to take care of himself, he had been starving to death. He was brought to Town Cats, and we nursed him back to health (which mostly just involved carefully feeding him back up, and taking care of him as he got better). He could very well be a bit older than 10. Remember, though, that the older pets can make the very best pets! Please - when you visit the shelter, ask to see Sig! He will be delighted to sit in your lap and be with you! (He is smart enough to blink every time the camera goes off though - its VERY hard to take a picture of his handsome blue eyes with the flash....)
Our mission at Town Cats is to maintain a No-Kill Adoption Center/Shelter and foster home network for friendly homeless cats and kittens awaiting adoption; to bring attention to and alleviate the suffering of homeless and feral cats in Santa Clara county; to educate the public about the pet overpopulation problem and provide the public with the tools to become part of the solution to assist homeless and feral cats through Trap, Neuter and Return programs; and to find permanent, loving, and safe homes for all the homeless house cats and kittens in our care. See our video explaining the shelter (over 7 minutes long) below!
You can meet kitties at our shelter by appointment. We have some cats displayed in various stores throughout the bay area - we rotate them in and out, so stop by and see who's in the store this week! Our pet fairs change. For the latest up to date information, please check here at: http://www.towncats.org/datesl!
All adoptions of our cats and kittens are subject to approval by Town Cats. If approved, you can take home your new feline friend the same day provided the cat or kitten is ready to go! Our usual adoption rates: $50 per adult cat, or $90 for a pair (for more rates, see http://www.towncats.org/adopt). Each cat will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for leukemia/FIV (every adult and one kitten per litter plus mom and/or dad if we have them), dewormed, defleaed, microchipped, plus routine medical check up done prior to delivery. Each adoption also includes 30 days free pet insurance and 20% discount coupon for Pet Food Express stores (check at time of adoption, sometimes we have alternate coupon books available).
Outdoor/Feral Cats adoptions require a site inspection and adoption fees vary depending on how many cats you adopt, a minimum $25 donation per cat is recommended as each cat will have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed (and microchipped, if possible). We deliver feral cats to you and will provide the enclosure/cage required for minimum 30 day imprinting.
Ask us about senior cats for senior people rates too, which are negotiated based on the cat and the person's unique situation!
