My StoryHi, I’m Allie. I’m a pretty spotty, stripey kitty, technically a tabby, but really so much more. My baby picture shows my markings best. The photo of me in the window shows how I look now. I am a sweetheart who is a bit shy when I experience changes, but with some time my true loving nature is revealed. I am still playful at times even though I was born back in April, 2012. I love watching birdies from my window. My current foster mom says I have a mischievous nature & am ever so sweet. I am spayed & current on vaccines & deworming. I was tested for FeLV/FIV & have a microchip. So, I am ready to go. I’ve been around dogs & lots of other cats. Give me a little time to adjust & I can probably fit into to any home. For more info on Allie, contact email@example.com or call 540/586-6100. To submit an Adoption Application, go to www.bhsva.org/adoptions-home.htm.

Adoption ProcessHave you discovered a pet you wish to adopt? Great!
Now, the first step is to complete an adoption application on our website at http://bhsva.org/adoptions-home.htm. This is not a commitment to adopt. It is simply the first step in the process.
We will review your application for preliminary approval before asking the foster parent to contact you to set up a time to meet the pet. You may also have concerns about how the animal will fit your home environment. When the foster parent contacts you, you will be able to discuss your concerns with someone who has first-hand experience with the pet.
After you meet the animal, you and the foster parent can decide if this is definitely the forever pet for you.
