Allie's Story...
Hello! My name is Allie! I am a beautiful spotted tabby cat. I came from a big family. I have three brothers and two sisters. Our mom was a feral stray and she secretly had us in a shed. She was a great mom and worked hard to provide us food. One day a nice lady came and caught us when we were about 8 weeks old and took care of us. We were all scared at first but she gave us yummy food and in no time we all decided that love and attention were good things and humans were not scary at all! We all love to play with our toys and love to be petted. I have been spayed, current on my vaccines and tested for FeLV and FIV. I am ready to go live with my forever family. If you are interested in meeting me and or my siblings e-mail michelle@bhsva.org or call 540-586-6100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a Bedford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
