I am already spayed, housetrained, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Lola is a 3 year old Staffordshire mix that has had it fairly rough over her life time. She was found by another rescue on the streets of Detroit. Unfortunately, the rescue that found her did not do right by her after rescuing her. They put her in a kennel and let her sit there for two years, not giving her the attention or training she needed. When the other rescue group did not pay her boarding bill, Lola was turned over to the boarding facility, that almost put her down because they were told by other rescue people that she was aggressive towards other dogs. We did not exactly see dog aggression, especially since one of our volunteers walked right into a kennel with Lola, that had another dog in it, with no reaction. We decided to put Lola at another boarding facility with our trainer to see what his opinion was on Lola's behavior around other dogs. Our trainer had Lola out playing with a group of dogs the day after she came into his facility. Lola is now in a foster home with three other dogs and is having the time of her life. She was originally placed in a foster home with no other dogs, however suffered some separation anxiety when her foster Mom would leave the home. She is no longer suffering these problems now that she has the company of the other dogs when her new foster Mom leaves the home. Therefore, we think Lola would do best in a home with another companion animal to keep her company or a home where she will not be left alone for long periods of time. She is friendly with children, however has a high energy level that may not work will with smaller children. We are hoping her high energy level will calm down some now that she is living in a home life again and has more time to play, now that she out of kenneling. Lola was one of my trainers favorites while during her short stay with him at his boarding facility. Many of his students fell in love with Lola while taking classes with him. She is of smaller size, weighing in at only 35 pounds and is as sweet as can be. She will make someone a wonderful family pet and deserves the very best life has to offer since the beginning of her life was not as it should have been.

Rescue Group Info...
Providing for Paws goal is to help keep animals out of shelters and rescues and stay in their family homes, by providing food for family pets when in need. As well as lessen the homeless pet population by requiring all animals in the home to be spayed/neutered and vaccinated through Providing for Paws. Although no one will EVER be turned down for food assistance with or without spaying or neutering their pet. We ask that once the family is financially stable, to donate back to us for the next animal in need. Occasionally we are in the position to be able to help an animal with rescue. We do have animals available for adoption.
Providing for Paws requires all applicants to complete an adoption application. Home and vet checks are conducted to ensure the animal is being placed in a proper well fit environment.
We offer services in 6 counties in Metro Detroit:
