Maddie is a very sweet, gentle chihuahua girl who is about 5 years old. She is a very delicate, thin girl with long legs and only weighs about 7 pounds. She was saved from euthanasia at a shelter in Texas at the last minute and is ready for a new family who won't put her in that situation again. She is a friendly girl, but can be a little shy with new people. Give her a few minutes though and she will warm up and be your best friend. She is good with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, but is just as happy cuddled up with you on the couch. Maddie would love a home of her own with a family who will treat her like she deserves to be treated--is that you? :) Maddie's adoption fee is $200 and includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, microchip for permanent ID, flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

We are a group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and providing sanctuary to abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We are not a shelter as all of our rescued dogs live in foster homes where they are given enourmous amounts of love and attention while they await their forever home. Many animals are overlooked or forgotten and our goal is to give them a second chance on life and home to be loved in.
Our adoption process is quite simple. We ask that you complete an application on our website DigsK9.org. We are a foster based organization so special arrangements can be made for you to meet the animal you are applying for. After review of your application we will follow up with either a phone interview or a home visit. If everyone agrees that this would be a successful adoption than we make plans to finalize it.
We are based in the Chicago-land area but are happy to accept applications from all states.
