My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sheppie was found in a ditch one morning on the way to work.... Left for dead, at 33 lbs. she is heartworm positive and skinny.  These pictures below were taken the day she was found.  It is obvious this dog was left outside to fend for herself.  She tried to eat anything she could find, she would eat newspaper, the plastic food bowl., anything she could.

Sheppie has been in a foster home for three weeks,  she is very loyal and devoted.  It is now that we have to find a new foster home for her to continue her rehabilitation.  She has put on weight, however, it is unlikely she will ever be a normal size.

In a few weeks, when more weight is put on her, we will spay and look into treating her heartworm.... She is on prevenative now..

Her skin is also improving.

PLEASE keep in mind, she has been through a lot in her short life and her road to recovery is going to be a long one.
