My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope is Adopted

Penelope is currently fostered in Medway Ohio and her adoption donation is $250

Penelope is a beautiful 5 yr old female cocker spaniel that has a beautiful red/auburn colored coat.
She is a smaller cocker weighing only about 20 lbs.
She was adopted from our rescue 2 yrs ago, and has been returned to us due to the addition of children to the home.
She was originally adopted to a couple without children, however they have just had their second child, and she has not adjusted well to the small toddler in the home.
She will need to be adopted to an adult only home, or a family with older children.
She is a happy little cocker girl, she is housetrained, and loves to be the center of attention.

Penelope has some resource guarding issues according to her owners when it comes to other dogs, and they feel she will do best in a home where she can be the only dog.
She gets along with the other dog in the home, however when a treat or a toy is involved, she will guard them.
Penelope is a very good dog, and in the right home as an only dog, or with one other non alpha dog, she will be a perfect little companion to whomever adopts her.
It has also been brought to our attention that she has had a few mild seizures in time since being adopted originally, and was started on a low dose of phenobarbitol daily, which has controlled them.

Penelope is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and is heartworm negative.
