Scooter's Story...
Scooter was found outside and a kind lady rescued her and brought her to NTRS. Scooter likes to explore and is good with her litter box habits. She is as cute as can be; however, she is not a cuddly bunny. Since she requires a visit to the vet every three months for teeth filing, a person experienced with rabbits is REQUIRED. Scooter is being fostered at a separate residence other than the sanctuary, so a completed application and appointment are necessary.

NTRS charges a $125 adoption fee strictly to cover the spay/neuter cost of the rabbit. This is less expensive than if you spayed/neutered the rabbit on your own.

NTRS adopts to INDOOR HOMES only. For information on rabbit care and behavior, please visit www.rabbit.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooter, a Garland Lop-Eared was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lop-Eared for sale in Garland, or seeking a Lop-Eared from a breeder in Garland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lop-Eared breeders who help with Lop-Eared rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garland paves the way for another one to be saved.
