Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tumbles and her sister were being sold at a garage sale along with children’s toys and household goods. One of our supporters snatched them up and brought them to rescue so we could find them good homes. We tried to get the mom dog too but no luck (but we were told she would be getting spayed – yea!).
The puppies were supposedly 9 weeks old but we also go their birthdate. Upon checking a calendar, we discovered these sweeties were only 7 weeks old when we got them.
Tumbles and her sister are typical puppies. They are very active and into everything. Each week they get bolder and explore more. As babies, they love chewing on things and this chew obsession will continue for some time to come. New homes should be prepared to lose some valuable items due to inappropriate chewing. The puppies are being fostered with lots of older doxies and are therefore getting lots of dog socialization.
Tumbles is a litte puffball going head over heals across the floor. Her fluffy coat tells us she is taking after her daddy whom we were told is a red longhair. .
.
The ideal home for these puppies will have the following qualifications:
• Someone at home most of the day, stay-at-home parents, or folks who work from home.
• Another small, young male dog for play and companionship. (Puppies often torment older dogs so if you have a senior dog already, you may want to wait a few years before getting a puppy or get a dog age 5+).
• A very secure INDOOR place for the puppy to be when no one is at home.
• Applicants must be between 25 and 65 years of age.
• No infants or toddlers, please, but we will consider families with children over eight yrs old.
• Previous puppy experience is a plus but not absolutely essential.
We have started the puppies on their DHPP series and they will be spayed in a few weeks. (If a good home comes forth before the spay date, we will consider a foster to adopt situation or a spay contract).
If you are interested in Tumbles please fill out an adoption application at www.scdr.org . The tax deductible donation for Tumbles is $400. Date of Birth 08/17/2012
