My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*******IMPORTANT****** IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF OUR DOGS PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. AFTER WE HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE WE WILL COMMUNICATE SPECIFICS ABOUT THAT PARTICULAR DOG. WE ARE A SMALL RESCUE, OVERWHELMED BY THE NUMBER OF DOGS WE HAVE IN OUR FOSTER PROGRAM AND ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER OR CALL UNTIL WE HAVE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Meet Shelton, a 5 year old male, rescued from an urban animal control facility. Shelton was in very very rough shape when he was brought into the shelter and was transferred to our care when it became obvious that he needed some serious medical attention. The first photo is of him today, the 2,3,and 4th photos are intake photos. He will most likely not grow all of his fur back, but we're working on it.
Shelton has grain allergy and dry eye. Most of his skin and ear issues were from unadressed allergies. Right now his skin and ears are clear but he will need to remain on a grain free diet for the rest of his life. He will also require daily eye drops for the rest of his life. It appears that Shelton has lead a very neglected and rough life to this point; his joints are stiff and at the moment he is on joint supplements and multiple vitamins to help him regain some of his vitality. Actually getting out of his horrible living situation and into foster care has done more for Shelton's psychi than any medications.
Shelton is a doll, who gets along with other dogs and loves children. He's a big teddy bear.
Shelton has been neutered and is UTD on vaccines.
