Roo's Story...
Roo was born on April 3, 2102. His dam, Tika, is a pretty, approximately 14 hand red dun. Roo also is a dun, but more peach-colored than red, with three white socks and a nice blaze. He is very athletic and agile. His foster mom reported that her vet was impressed with Roo's near-perfect conformation and athleticism. Roo has been started on basic halter training and picks up new things quickly. He is brave and curious, approaching new objects in his pasture easily. Could Roo could be your next reining or barrel prospect?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roo, a El Dorado Hills Quarterhorse was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Quarterhorse for sale in El Dorado Hills, or seeking a Quarterhorse from a breeder in El Dorado Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Dorado Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Dorado Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Quarterhorse breeders who help with Quarterhorse rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Dorado Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
