How are you today? I'm swell! I'm Flash, and I earned my name for being fast as light and smart as a whip. I was found as a stray and I probably used to live as a hunting dog. I'm happy to be here and have a chance to live as a real pet! I am friendly and energetic. I know some commands and love to play with you outside. I would be happiest if I lived with an active person who enjoys the great outdoors. I am still very young and I know I have lots to learn, will you be the one to take me home and teach me?

About Our Shelter...
Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.

We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Adoptions stop @ 4:30 PM)
Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (adoptions stop @ 3:30 PM)
CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY
We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
