Sophie Tuna's Story...
Sophie is the cutest little munchkin you will ever want to meet. She is alert, peppy and silly as well as affectionate. She is potty trained and verbally responsive to your requests. She is about 8 years old and weighs about 8 pounds!! She was found as a stray and had some health issues due to her gross lack of care. I am happy to report she is doing much better. Her hair is coming in and is just beautiful. She has a small liver but is managed on special food which she loves. She gets weekly bathes to help heal her skin issues and she looks good in that area as well. Little dogs are not meant to be on the street fending for themselves. It really makes them sick and they just cannot survive for long. She is lucky to have been found and helped. She is a wonderful companion, asks for so little yet gives back so much. If interested in little Sophie please consider putting in an application to adopt her. Do you have the right home for Sophie? Go to and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie Tuna, a Homer Chihuahua/Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Boston Terrier for sale in Homer, or seeking a Chihuahua/Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Boston Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
