Brittany's Story...
UPDATE 2/21/16: Brittany is a 15 1/2 year old Bichon. And a sweeter little dog, I have not had the pleasure to meet. She is very shy, but once you pick her up, she just melts in your arms. She is semi blind, so care needs to be had with Brittany. She can see to get around the house, but when she is outside in the fenced in yard, she tends to get lost. I never let her outside unless I am there to guide her back in.

I'm Brittany, an 15 year old Bichon who is cute as can be! I run and play like a puppy now that I'm out of that horrible place. I am a quiet little gal, never bark and tend to stay in the background. I am a bit shy, but I do love attention. I am also blind in one eye, but that doesn't slow me down! A nice retired home would be wonderful for me. Children make me nervous. I need a fenced in yard. If you can give this girl a great home, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Adoption donation is $100.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brittany, a Homer Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Homer, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
