Hi! I'm Murphy . I am a handsome guy who weighs 56 pounds. I am the perfect gentleman and was very well loved in my previous home. I am sad that I had to come here, but excited to meet people who will spoil me and treat me like the prince I am! I am crate trained and housebroken. I have beautiful fur that will require regular brushing and I love treats but shouldn't have too many because I need to keep my handsome figure. I would like to find a home with a fenced in yard to play in. I will run off if I get the chance so it is important that I have a nice place to play and go potty in. I will be your best friend and we can take long walks together and snuggle on the couch! Hope to meet you soon!!

About Our Shelter...
Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.

Tuesday - Friday 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Adoptions stop @ 4:30 PM)
Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM (adoptions stop @ 3:30 PM)
CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY
We are open to the public for adoptions (or just come to visit the animals) as follows:
