My story

Update 10/27/12: Harrison has been re-evaluated by surgeons at the U of I in Champaign & it was decided that he should have cage rest for 4 weeks instead of surgery to repair his broken pelvis. He seems to be feeling better. He loves the outside but only gets to go out for potty breaks.He is a sweetheart & doesn't complain about his condition. He loves people & loves to snuggle. He gets along with dogs & cats also. We will keep everyone updated about his condition & when he will be ready for adoption.
Initial bio 10-25-12 : Harrison is 2-3 yrs old & weighs about 10 lbs. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in Chicago. He had been hit by a car & his pelvis is broken in 2 places. UYR rescued him and he will be going on Friday 10-26 to the U of I Animal Hospital in Champaign,IL for surgery to repair it. He was injured 10 days ago & despite being in pain he is a real sweetheart. He spent the day at the vets office yesterday & when I went to pick him up he was happy to see me & gave little kisses.He is a real trooper & hasn't complained about being confined so he can rest. He seems to be housetrained as he will whine a little & right now he has to be carried outside but he will do his business when set down on the grass. We will update after his surgery & let everyone one know how he is doing & when he will be available for adoption. If you are interested in Harrison please fill out an application. I look for this little sweetie to be adopted very quickly when he is well. He seems to love people & gets along well with the other dogs in the house & we also think he is cat friendly. I don't know about children but he does seem to love everyone & everything.
