Cowboy's Story...
Howdy! I'm Cowboy. I just arrived in these here parts and I am mighty sore from all that ride'n! I'm a bit bowlegged in back and I look like I'm wearing chaps when I'm not! I'm a little wobbly from all that whiskey I just drank clearing the desert dust out of my mouth and there was the cutest, sweetest, little gal of a doxie down at the saloon there... Wow, what a campfire story that is! So, let's get down to buisness partner... I'm kind of a quiet kind of guy altho I can hold my own with the big boys any day of the week! I like to be off by myself sometimes to do what I do best, chase lizzards! Watch out! I get along with the other guys and gals in my foster home. I love it when my foster mom rubs me all over, so much so that I just flop right over on my back! My foster home is in St. Petersburg, Fl. and my adoption fee is $150.00. Looking for what every Cowboy needs, a forever lov'n home on the range! Florida adoptions only please.

We are a breed specific, foster home based rescue, dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of Dachshunds and Dachshund mixes. We have relationships with several shelters in various counties in Florida and we also take in owner surrenders and strays found by private individuals. Florida adoptions only please. Our Adoption Process...
Interested parties are asked to email skywaydachshund@gmail.com to request an application. The request will be handled by our Adoption Coordinator who will email an Adoption Application to the contact. When the application has been returned it will be reviewed and the applicant will be contacted. An inhome visit is arranged whereby the dog will be taken to the applicants home to stay for a two week visit. At this time an Adoption Contract will be filled out and signed by both parties and the adoption fee paid, all of which is held by the Treasurer until either the adoption becomes final and the fee is deposited or, in the event things do not work out, the dog is returned to the rescue and the fee is given back to the applicant. Skyway Dachshund Rescue, Inc. is non-discriminatory.
