Big Red's Story...
They call me Big Red because I'm big and my coat is red, how about that! So original, couldn't my rescue do better than that? You know, my name should really be "Grand Master Lizard Hunter" cause that's what I love to do best! It's my passion! I'm working really hard at reducing the lizard population in the backyard of my foster home but there are so MANY! It's exhausting! And to show my foster mom what a good job I'm doing I bring some I've just caught in to show her! Don't know if she's really that impressed tho with my superior abilities in this area, you know? She's not smiling, why I don't know, but a dachshunds gotta do what a dachshunds gotta do. Besides, I'm a good boy, very sweet to boot. I'm also a standard size at 19lbs. My adoption fee is $200.00 and my foster home is in Pinellas Park, Fl. Can't wait to sit on your lap, Yikes! Forever! Florida adoptions only please.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Red, a Pinellas Park Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Pinellas Park, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Pinellas Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pinellas Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pinellas Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pinellas Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
