Koko's Story...
FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, Idaho

Wanna Play? Give this dog a ball, Frisbee or any other flying toy and she is ON IT. Koko has the energy and stamina of a puppy, hard to believe she is 10 years old. Koko was turned into a local shelter by her owners after being a part of their family for her entire life. Fuzzy Pawz Rescue hates stories like that so we took Koko (and her sister Amber) into our foster care program.
We believe that Koko is a Kelpie mix, but whatever she is she is as cute as can be with one big happy smile for everyone she meets. Don’t let her age fool you – Koko may be 10 but she doesn’t know it, she has the energy and stamina of a 4 year old.
Koko knows sit and stay, she’s been in the front yard with her foster parents and stays right with them while off leash. She is not a barker, she is not a jumper but she does pull on the leash at first because of excitement.
Oh, when she plays ball or Frisbee she will bring it right back and drop it so you can throw it again. She will play with you for hours, or will settle nicely in the house with you (she loves to sleep on the couch, but will stay off if you want her to).
She is house trained, good with dogs, cats and kids. She loves to go for car rides but mostly she LOVES to play!

Koko has a ton to offer and will fit perfectly into any home, is she the right fit for you?
Koko is spayed and fully vaccinated.

If you are looking for an intelligent, beautiful dog companion please complete an adoption application at http://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm

There is a $25 adoption fee for Koko – she is eligible for our Senior for Seniors Program.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Koko, a Boise Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Boise, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
