About Our Rescue Group...
SOCKS was born on January 19, 2009 out of a lack of such an organization in our community. Because the need is so great in our community we can only serve our community. Our purpose is to save as many kitties lives as possible. We are an all volunteer and donation driven organization. We are in desperate need of both, especially foster families.
Come Meet Our Pets...
If interested in one or more of our very loveable adoptable kitties all you have to do is contact SOCKS via e-mail and we will be most happy to set up a meet-and-greet. Because we are a very small cat rescue organization we do not have an off-site facility to house or show our kitties.
Our Adoption Process...
We have an affordable adoption fee and require a pre-adoption interview and/or pre-adoption application. Once approved you must sign an adoption agreement.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We serve the City of Rancho Cordova located in Sacramento County.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amber, a Rancho Cordova Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Rancho Cordova, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Rancho Cordova.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rancho Cordova already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rancho Cordova breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rancho Cordova paves the way for another one to be saved.
