Cotton's Story...
Meet Cotton! She is a 6 year old Standard American Eskimo Dog. Cotton was turned into a shelter before coming to our rescue with flea-bite dermatitis and some fur loss. You may notice the shorter fur on back half of her body. She is recovering nicely, the fur is growing back in and she is one happy doggie! Cotton is very sweet, she gives a play bow and a wiggle when she wants your attention....and the hopes for a back rub! :)

Cotton seems fine with other dogs, and all the people she has met so far! We will be testing her out with cats and smaller kids soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cotton, a Elmhurst American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Eskimo Dog for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
