Ruff Ruff! My name is Sheldon

Sheldon was 2 1/2 weeks old on May 7, 2012 when we rescued him and his two sisters from Lafayette Animal Control. One sister looked pure Chihuahua, the other sister looked like a Rat Terrier. Sheldon looked like a mix of Chihuahua, Terrier, and Pomeranian. His fur is fluffier then his sisters and his tail reminds us of a Pom tail. Since Sheldon was a bottle baby, he has a sweet and affectionate personality, and he loves to be held and will snuggle for as long as you let him. 

Sheldon is now seven months old, and is only about 6 or 7 pounds. He has tiny feet, so he should remain a small dog when full grown. He is very playful and loves to run and enjoys playing with balls and other toys. He is good with most dogs and cats. He also is smart enough to avoid cats that don't like him.

Sheldon is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, defleaed, and on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $150.00. You may then fax, snail mail, or email, your completed application to us for consideration. Please email the office at ahspets@gmail.com or you may also email the foster parent directly to the email address in the description. Applications may also be left with any manager at the Lafayette Petco. Completion of these forms does not guarantee that you can adopt from us. Thank you!

Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. Cat adoptions are inside only and no declawing.

Dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and on Heartworm prevention. We don't adopt out yard or chain dogs. Dog adopters must have a fenced in yard.

Small animals are vetted. Ferrets are vaccinated and on Revolution for heartworm and flea prevention. Rabbits are spayed/neutered and exams done. Guinea pigs receive an exam. All pets are treated for parasites as needed.
