Fred's Story...
Fred is a neutered, male, shepherd/Husky mix that is about 11 weeks old.  He weighs about 25 pounds.

Sweet, snuggle bug, lap dog, playful, outgoing – these are just a few of the many adjectives that describe this great little guy.  Having Fred in my house is an absolute pleasure and I cannot think of any situation that he would not do well in.  He has a blast with the other dogs in the house but loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa with his human.  Fred does not seem like he has a mean bone in his body.  He is great with my children (both under 3 years old) and is not aggressive towards the cats.  Furthermore, he is not overly energetic and seems to enjoy chilling out on the sofa with his people more than anything else.

Fred is doing well with potty training and has no problem in his crate.  He was also very quick to learn “sit” and he comes when you call his name.  He, like any puppy, needs to be taught what is appropriate to chew on – which includes people.  I do not recommend that he be adopted to people with young children as kids who are not used to puppies do not understand that mouthing is not biting and the dog needs to be taught not to do it.
Anyone who takes this little boy home is getting a wonderful friend for life!!
Fred is currently being fostered in Hunt Valley, Maryland

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fred, a Hanover German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Hanover, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
