Johnny D's Story...
Johnny D is a sweet 1 year old long-haired orange tabby boy that would love to have a home of his own. This boy is gentle and quiet and there isn't much that this boy doesn't love! He was found as a stray, and now with St. Sophia's, he's blossomed into a wonderful happy cat.

He is a great lap cat and enjoys nothing more than sitting next to you while you work. He likes watching birds and squirrels through the windows, and gets along well with other cats.

Johnny is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites, and tested negative for FIV/Leukemia. His adoption fee is $75, and he is currently staying at the Elmhurst Petco Adoption Center on Rt 83 in Elmhurst. He'd love for you to stop by and meet him!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Johnny D, a Addison Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Addison, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Addison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Addison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Addison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Addison paves the way for another one to be saved.
