I am already spayed and good with dogs.
Sunny is a beautiful 2 year-old Great Pyrenees/Collie mix female who may have had a rough life before coming to Canine Lifeline. She came into a high-volume dog shelter as a stray and was absolutely terrified at the shelter making her chances for adoption there very slim. She was in a foster home for a week before coming to us and was frightened of everything there as well. Any loud noise would make her cringe and she was very handshy. She's been with us for about a month now and making progress although she's likely to be very timid in her new home at first too. Since loud noises and rapid movements still scare her, she would do best in a quiet home without small children and in an area that's relatively quiet without a lot of city noises. Once she feels comfortable with someone, she's very sweet and affectionate. She gets along well with other dogs so it would probably be helpful for her to have another calm and quiet dog in the home. Sunny can get over a 4 foot split rail fence so a privacy fence would be best for her. She does well in her crate and may be housetrained too. Sunny weighs about 60-65 pounds and her adoption fee is $200. She's spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up-to-date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it's a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you're interested in Sunny.
An adoption application must be filled out and submitted to be considered for adopting any Canine Lifeline dog. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/2010/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to download a copy of the application. You can either email the application to info@caninelifeline.org, or mail it to: Canine Lifeline, Attn: Adoptions, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts, OH, 44125-0742. Thank you!

Rescue Group Info...
Canine Lifeline is an all volunteer 501(c)3 organization with a mission to save adoptable dogs from being euthanized at shelters due to overcrowding or treatable medical conditions such as heartworm. All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout northeast Ohio.
Canine Lifeline takes adoptable dogs to Petco in Macedonia most Saturdays from noon - 3 pm. If there is a particular dog that you are interested in meeting, you can contact us and we can bring him/her to the store for you to meet. We also participate in many adoption events throughout the summer. Please check our website at www.caninelifeline.org for the most current adoption event listing.
All Canine Lifeline dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up-to-date on vaccinations including a one-year rabies, and are on monthly heartworm preventative. In the warmer months of the year, our dogs are also on a flea and tick preventative. The adoption fee for dogs up to 7 years of age is $150. Senior dogs may be adopted for a reduced fee of $100. Since all of our dogs come from shelters and have been stray or abandoned at least once in their lives, we want to make sure that their next home is for keeps. That’s why each adoption comes with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a perfect match before the adoption is finalized.
Canine Lifeline is located in Northeast Ohio.
