Scooby-Adopted!'s Story...
Scooby and Snoopy were both surrendered together from a situation where they were not able to care for them. Scooby is 13 pounds and an outgoing and curious fellow. Scooby loves to go for walks and play in the yard, and is great with the older kids in his foster home. He loves attention and is ready to find his new forever home where he can be king of his castle. He likes to think he's large and in charge, so he would do best in a home where he is the only pet, or with a more submissive, laid back dog and without cats. He is doing well on his house training and other commands. Birth date 10/23/11

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scooby-Adopted!, a Detroit Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
