My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HUXTABLE! male, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, heartworm tested (-), tx Revolution, 7yrs, ~70-75lbs, GoldenDoodle (Golden Retriever/Poodle mix).

Surrender from private home. Huxtable’s owner has developed health issues that prevent her from continuing to provide Hux with a home.

Huxtable is nonshedding and may be ideal for allergy sufferers. Because he is nonshedding he needs to visit the groomers about every 6-8weeks for bathe, brush and clip. If you are not prepared for the extra costs and efforts associated with the grooming then a nonshedding dog is not for you.

Huxtable is very loving and friendly and energetic even though he is 7! Over all he is a calm, mature boy but can get a little rambunctious when you pull out his favorite toy – the tennis ball! He also likes to get excited when guests come over to the house but he is half Golden Retriever so are you surprised he is happy to welcome his guests? He just needs to say Hello! and get a quick pat and he settles right down. Hux is good with respectful children of any age, due to his age we prefer a home with older children rather the grabby toddlers that could use him as a jungle gym. Huxtable is good with other dogs but has not been around cats. Huxtable is house trained and fine left along for typical 9-5 work hours, he does not need or use a crate. He loves to get outdoors and explore with his family. He enjoys daily brisk walks and playing fetch! He’s a nicely mannered, well behaved adult dog that is past all the mischievous puppy stages. He is content to walk the Lakeshore board walk or lay at your feet while you watch a movie. He rides really well in the car too. He’s the kind of dog that would be great to take along to a canine friendly work place or join you around town on your daily errands. He is also fine at home alone. He is an absolutely loveable, friendly and family oriented dog. He knows basic commands and is eager to please, with his wonderful, laid back and goofy personality he is sure to entertain and keep his family laughing. Huxtable is eager to find his Forever Family and get settled in. Huxtable would love to find a more mature home with a house and fenced yard.
