Magenta Faraday “Maggie”'s Story...
Update February 2014: I'm on a new protocol to get my urine sludge under control!!! Yes!! I get a special Magnesium product added to my water. Supposed to work like chelation therapy to reduce the Calcium. Hey!! Chelation therapy works for the California Condor!!! Let's hope I follow suit!!! I must say I do not like receiving subQ fluids. Keep paws crossed for me!!! Meanwhile...I'm a very special, large and lovely California girl. So very cuddly!!!! I cuddle with humans. I'd rather not be around other rabbits!!!!

Update October 2013: Hello all!!! Unwelcome surprise upon vet visit in September. Here I am, a stunning California-X girl, not even three years old and I have the rabbit bladder sludge condition!!! My blood panel showed me to be the picture of health but I am just too efficient at absorbing calcium from my House Rabbit Society approved food!!! So I am a special needs bunny. I require saline fluids injected under my scruff…….It’s really not bad if you’ve always wanted to be a vetmed doctor!! Please read my bio and fall in love!!! Oh, and I’m not all that fond of other rabbits…..

Update April 2013. Still waiting!!! I’m such a smart rabbit!!! I know when it is my turn in the giant xpen run. I communicate my impatience by demonstratively rattling my condo door. I also enjoy the enclosed patio run. That’s my dance studio!!! I’m auditioning for partners!!!

Greetings!!! Magenta Faraday checking in 2/26/12. I weighed 7 lbs 8 oz today. I calculate my age as being a year and five months. So my accomplishment over the past year was to discover that I was a meerkat in a distant former life!!!! Yes, you’ll often see me sitting upin my litterbox with my forepaws up on the edge, intently surveying the room. I’m close to our xpen. I can diligently disapprove of the other girls and Orlando who make up the LA FIVE during their run time. Also, I’ve trained the mom to open both the xpen gate and my condo door so I can hop by myself to the pen and back to the condo again.

I’ve had a bunny date or two but for the near future I’m only interested in a furever human friend. No bunnyboyfriend needed, thank you very much. Right now my markings are quite intense because it is wintertime. Cetainly would like to put my best face forward and meet you NOW!!!! Even though I’m a plus size due to my Californian genes, I’m still OK with being picked up and held.

Whiskertickles from your Magenta Faraday.
