I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Sara is a sweet, 5 year old, frightened dog who will require a special home. She is progressing and has found she loves the yard, some of her doggie friends, and now she loves toys!! She is doing great in the potty business and uses a dogdoor when I am home. She is crated in my absences and does fine. She is treat and food motivated and I have been hand feeding her for a few weeks and she will now practically crawl into my lap for food. She is still not really wanting me to hug her. A few gentle touches is all she wants right now. BUT she does follow me everywhere. She is a smart girl and tried to initiate play with the other dogs. She seems to prefer smaller dogs although she plays with Rowdy Ringo!! She has an oily coat and does require frequent bathes that she is slowly getting used to. I have switched her food to see if that may help. She is a healthy girl that is currently on a diet as she has a round figure (Sorry Sara). She is about 20lbs. I hope she doesn't read that. She is not ready for leash training and would require a quiet home with a fenced yard at this time. Check back for updates!! Sara would love a home of her own!! If you think you have the right home for Sara, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Rescue Group Info...
The rescue was started in 2008 and we are dedicated to providing shelter dogs, puppy mill dogs, and owner turn-ins a second chance at a good life. Director Susan Hubbard will do everything possible to ensure the care of a dog. I own 3 rescue dogs and a rescued cat, all adopted from rescues or shelters. Every dog is important and the right home is out there for all of them! "Saving one dog at a time"
We don't have a kennel, meeting a dog can be arranged by appointment once an application has been submitted and approved.
This rescue group does have a contract and donation requirement to adopt a dog. This helps us to ensure the dogs safety for the remainder of his/her life and to continue to rescue dogs in need to rehome them. An applicaton must be filled out on our website www.hubbardshounds.com, references checked, an interview done and a home visit check.
