Kenny is one handsome pup! He's an energetic boy but also super snuggly! Here are some notes about him from his foster mom:
"Kenny is always so excited to see people. That's when his energy level is at its highest and he prances at the back of your legs, trying to get your attention. He will find, tackle, and chew on toys, but he still loves to curl up in a comfy spot and nap when you're around. He is still very puppyish, however, grabbing anything he can find and trying to gnaw on it, so he will need attentive owners. He also likes to horse around with his foster sister, playfully biting at her mouth and trying to roll around. He prances on his walks as well and doesn't appear to feel the need to sprint right away. He is a prince on the leash! He just wants to stay as close to you as possible, so he heels beautifully. After he settles in when you get home, he, more than anything, just wants to snuggle up with you - or if that isn't available - a snuggly comforter or dog bed. Kenny often tries to crawl into your arms, lap, nook, or just presses his head into your body to be close. He ends up using you as a jungle gym to get into your arms. Oh, and even if you just scratch his ears when he is sitting, he leans into your hand and melts into the ground, just begging for a nice belly rub. He's just a baby! He would do wonderfully with someone who is home often or has another dog to play with him. As you can tell, his energy level varies widely. I haven't found much he doesn't like. He is inquisitive and just the sweetest pup. He really is a joy to have around the house."
So if you are looking for a puppy to bring into your life and all that having a puppy will require of you, i.e. crating, chewing, training and lots and lots of exercise, Kenny is the boy for you! He is looking for an active family with another active, young dog. Folks that work from home or that are not away for more than 5-6 hours at a time are ideal for this young guy. Daily long walks or runs are great but if you're looking for someone who can join you on hikes on the weekend or maybe some agility, Kenny is all ears - literally! He is eager to meet you and start his new life. Please fill out an application for him today - www.azrescue.org.
