Onyx's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Onyx's Story... -- Meet Onyx. A handsome 4 year old German Shepherd/ Greyhound mix. Onyx is a very happy and healthy boy. He is neutered and is up to date on all his shots. He loves people and (although he prefers to eat alone) he truly loves the company of other dogs. Onyx is active and enjoys life! Even though Onyx is a big boy (50 - 55 lbs) he is good around children. His Mom recently took on a new job (after having lost her previous one) that requires a great deal of her time. Poor Onyx is crated now way too much as a result. His Mom wants him to have the freedom he once had to play, and the company of family members (including the furry kind) so that he is not alone anymore. At this time, she is must also downsize and will be moving.

Please consider adding Onyx to your family. For more information about Onyx please feel free to contact his mom.

This pup is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue. Please contact if you are interested in meeting this sweet dog

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Onyx, a Gilbert Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Greyhound/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
