Claire's Story...
Clearfortakeoff, Claire, is a 3.5 year old little red girl, just 59 pounds. She's a cutie! Check out those flippy ears! Claire is friendly, calm, and has no shyness or timidity issues. She gives kisses and is a bit of a talker. She's on the sensitive side and responds well to just a soft "no" or "leave it". She walks BEAUTIFULLY on a leash, no pulling whatsoever and will do her business on lead, no problem. Claire retired from a successful racing career due to an ankle injury and is now looking forward to her second career as a couch potato!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Claire, a Harrisburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
